According to the statistics, Laizhou becomes the most important stone import base of Korea. 80 percents of stone in Korean market is from Chinese stone center Laizhou, in Shangdong province.
In recent years, Laizhou puts much more emphasis on the development of stone sector, aiming at building a new building material import base. Till now, there are more than 2,800 stone companies dealing with all kinds of stone processing and 400-plus quarries enterprises in Laizhou. With an amout of more than 30 million square meters of panel being processed, more than 150,000 pieces of stone carving and irregular stones, and 80,000-plus people engaged in stone sector, Laizhou becomes the largest logistics and distribution center in the north of China in terms of stone, with the advanced technology and equipment. The stone products of Laizhou are exported to more than 30 countries and areas in the world. And laizhou has beeen named as the stone center of China by the Chinese Stone Association.
